ABOUT SWINGJIVE SUPERCOURSE - SUMMER

SwingJive SuperCourse Summer is one of three courses at the Super Course level, the others being Autumn & Spring. These courses can be taken in any order. Before attempting any SuperCourses please complete all Inters Plus Courses; Blue, Purple and Orange. We still maintain the popular format and structure of the 10 week SwingJive Courses. If you enjoyed those courses, the Super Course will be a joy.

Many of our dancers continue at the SuperCourse level term after term due to the wealth and variety of material. The SuperCourse is the first time we can link moves from across all three Inters Plus level courses, putting those moves into new sequences. We develop your technique and you'll learn interesting new variations.

This course shows you how to extend those moves and create links between moves that you haven’t seen before. You'll learn new techniques and tips for enhancing your social dancing. You will discover variations on the moves you know and the occasional flashy dip or lean. There's plenty of guided free practice time too.

Debbie & Brooke own and run The Swing Dance Company, which has introduced thousands of nervous new beginners to its Absolute Beginners SwingJive course in real-world venues across the south of England for nearly two decades.

Debbie & Brooke created these courses back in the early 2000s. Having taught in person and built up an excellent team of instructors, Brooke & Debbie have enjoyed creating continuation courses, running live music events and social events to support their community of dancers.

Frequently Asked Questions


When does the course start and finish?
The course starts on Friday 15th May! It's a 10 week course with lessons released weekly, each additional session will be released on the 9 subsequent Fridays.
How long do I have access to the content?
This online course will be available for 12 months after the first session is published on 15th May.
What if I am unhappy with the course?
Please tell us! By the time we reach SuperCourse level, most people have already completed numerous courses and know what to expect. If this course is not what you expect for any reason then please let us know!
Where can I access this lesson?
After enrolling, you have unlimited access to published sections of this course - across any and all devices you own.
Why is the course fee more than in my local classes?
In local "real world" classes we charge £70-£85 per person depending on the venue, which is equivalent to £140-£170 per dancing couple. We expect that those enrolling in any of our online courses will be doing so as a dancing couple, so our prices are in line with our "real world" classes. Online courses have added benefits; you can take them at a time and place of your choosing so no chance of a missed class, and they are available to refer back to for 12 months from the start of this course.
